Having just won his fourth sequence Belorussian footballer of the year award, Hleb described his move to Barcelona as the “best moment of the year”, although he stated that he would always be grateful to Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.
Hleb has predicted a stellar 2009 for himself and Barca, as he grows more accustomed to life at the Camp Now.
Aliaksandr Hleb spoke of his relationship with Josep Guardiola, saying: “I feel wanted by the coach, and I want to repay him for the confidence he has given me since the first day. I know what he wants from me, and I know that I can give it. I know that I will not let either the manager or the team down.”

“I needed some time to get acclimatized to my team-mates style of play. In training our understanding is flowing, and soon it will be at 100% in matches as well.”He added
Hleb extend on the road ahead, continuing “I believe that I can contribute significantly to Barcelona’s success from January onwards. I am more familiar with the squad, and I predict a great 2009 for all concerned.”
